Organizational Development

WTP is a component of Lifespan Counseling Associates, a multidisciplinary practice of psychologists, social workers and counselors. We provide psychological services that cover the lifespan, and include assessments, therapy, consultations to organizations, schools, courts, and the medical community. The Director of WTP, Dene Berman, Ph.D., has been a Wilderness Education Association Certification Instructor and Certified Outdoor Leader in addition to serving as  Secretary, Vice-President, and President of the Board of Trustees of the Wilderness Education Association. He is the reipient of the Frank Lupton Service Award from the WEA. Dene is an Instructor Trainer for the American Canoe Association in Sea Kayaking and River Kayaking, and holds an endorsement for Adaptive Paddling. He is the past Chair of the Therapeutic Adventure Professional Group of the Association for Experiential Education. He is a Wilderness and Remote First Aid and First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor for the American Red Cross. He also is a Master Educator for Leave No Trace.
