Dene Berman, Ph.D., ABPP, is
licensed as a psychologist in Ohio and certified as a school psychologist in
Illinois. A Board Certified Clinical Psychologist, he is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in
Psychology and has a Certificate of Professional Qualifications in Psychology. He holds the APA Certificate of
Proficiency in Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment. He is Clinical Professor
at the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University.
Jennifer Davis-Berman, Ph.D., is a Licensed Independent
Social Worker. She is a specialist in geriatrics, as well as adult and women's
issues. When she is not at Lifespan, she is a Professor in the Department of
Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at the University of Dayton. Her
latest book, written with Dene, is The Promise of Wilderness Therapy .
Berthold Berg, PhD is a psychologist treating children,
adolescent, adults and couples. He has published 13 therapeutic boards games
(search "Berg" at www.creativetherapystore.com ) that he uses in
his treatment of children and adolescents, including complementary
parenting guidance. In addition to his work with children, he has
special interest and expertise in: divorce adjustment for adults and children,
child custody evaluations, development of post-divorce parenting plans, harm
reduction and relapse prevention training for drug and alcohol problems, and
development of anger management skills.
Sally Benner, M.A., is a Professional Clinical
Counselor who enjoys working with people experiencing situational problems and
life changes. such as stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as relationship
conflicts, divorce, school adjustment, job changes, and child-rearing. She has
extensive training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy which can often facilitate
change in just a few sessions.
Marlene "Mimi" Sorah, M.S., a Professional Clinical Counselor, has many years of experience in the behavioral health field, and is an Adjunct Instructor at Sinclair Community College. She has special interests in women’s issues and assertive communication. After years of working in a psychiatric practice, she has an understanding of psychopharmacology. She provides individual counseling for adults and adolescents, as well as couple’s counseling.
